The brief

AfterHours focuses on a practical event-discovery question: what can I attend, where is it happening, and when? Its event-booking design organizes browsing around dates, locations and genres so visitors can narrow an evening out before exploring a particular event.

Design direction

The information hierarchy separates discovery from the booking decision. Date and location provide the first layer of context; the event detail is the place to explain the experience and the next action. This keeps browsing useful even for someone who has not decided what kind of event to attend.

Begin with time and place

Event browsing starts with constraints that matter to attendance. A clear date and location help visitors judge relevance before they spend time on an event description.

Use genre to guide discovery

Genre-based browsing gives visitors another route into the catalogue. The aim is to connect a preference with suitable events while keeping event names and practical details easy to compare.

Keep the booking journey explicit

Discovery and booking are separate decisions. For a production implementation, ticket availability, pricing, checkout, cancellations and organizer updates need to be defined as part of the booking scope.
